What are Training and Development
When discussing human resource management Training and development is a major function of a company. Training is a process or a system which used to improve employee knowledge about the technical side of their job. Development is connected with the managerial level employees. It is involved to improve the holistic and educational growth and maturity of people in managerial positions.
When considering the training, it is a learning method among its workers. This will also involve improving the individual skills of the employees to which they want to take their responsibilities. However, the training methods and functions are different from organization to organization based on the quantity and quality of the education factors. And also the training is used as a motivation factor for employees of the company. There is a training process commonly.
It included five steps called need assessment, setting objectives,
designing, implementation and evaluation. In the first step, the company has to
identify the necessitate of training for the employee.
The first step is a needed assessment. It means the management have to identify the assessment of the training for employees. The need for improvement can be established through a review of current and future problems, and a discrepancy between the actual performance of the employee and the expected results. Then they have to set the objectives. It means once the requirements are identified, the goals for which the training is to be performed will be set. Next, they have to design the training program. Management has to decide the way that they train the staff. It includes the training content, material, learning theories, instructional design, and other training requisites. After that, the selected method has implemented through the employees and at last they have to evaluate the efficiency and the effectiveness of the training program.
Development is a system that creates development, improvement, positive change or attaches physical, economic, environmental, social and demographic elements. The aim of growth is to improve the population's standard of living and quality of life and to establish or extend local regional income and job opportunities, without harming the environment's resources. Progress is noticeable and practical, not necessarily immediately, and involves an element of the improvement in quality and the development of expectations for that change to occur. There are various types of development such as career development, business development, corporate development, new product development, and research and development. They have used the job training method most probably. In this method they promote new practices, workers have to follow an ore prepared causes to define regulations, procedures or processes within their workplace. They mostly used the job rotation method. Many researchers have confirmed that short term training methods are profitable to a company. Also Sending trainers to the construction sites and self-learning and taking part in standard exams are most suitable for a company.
When considering about the importance of the training and development for a construction firm, it is directly involved to improve the employee performance of the company. An employee who receives the necessary training will be able to perform their job more effectively and efficiently as they have a better understanding of the entire work process and what is required. It ihelpsto reduce the site errors that can slow up a project and fewer accidents as the staff become aware of risks and how to avoid them. And also it involve to enhance the satisfaction and retantion of the employee. When they feel that they have enough oppotunites to make their carrer in an effective way, they will satisfy with their job rall. Traning and development help to make them satisfy. Also ,it improve team work and relationship with clients, as wel as their workforce.
When an applicant finishes a curriculum they will have a tremendous sense of achievement and will feel proud, more assured and ready to assume their position as they realize what is required of them to a better level. A lot of construction training programmes will also lead to a CSCS Card. That type of evidence that shows the applicant is qualified and professional in their position in the construction field. A more skilled work force for the company would mean that the corporation will be in a better tendering role.

Not only the importance but also some barriers in traning and development related to the construction firms. Inconvenient time has been identified as a major barrier for the construction Field. Also ,lack of commitment, lack of knowladge about the tr,aning and development and possibility of the training program are some of the barriers which they have face. They have to overcomthe e these barries to achieva e their goals because traning and development is highly affected to the company performance.

As I believe, HR managers may face difficulties to measure the individual performances of the skill workers attached with the undergoing construction in practical scenario.
